Design Feature - Rachel Elliot Glassworks

Twenty Eight is proud to present... Rachel Elliot Glassworks. A selection of animal cut-outs in beautiful prints.

I specialise in kiln-formed glass, utilising traditional techniques such as fired stained glass enamels, screen-printing them and combining this with the modern innovation of water-jet cutting. I create unique precision cut silhouette glass creatures, adorning them with varied designs in these permanent colours.

I love the technical challenges of working with glass in different ways as well as troubleshooting after ‘unexpected’ results. My work is mostly representational, attempting to catch the viewer’s eye, inviting them into my world and hopefully leaving with a smile.
