Twenty Eight is proud to present... Rona Innes, artist and illustrator!

Rona is an Edinburgh-based artist with a passion for nature. She creates prints, cards, homeware and other products from her expressive charcoal and mixed media drawings. Rona's creatures have distinct personalities and are often coloured in a bold and explosive style.

Following a childhood hill climbing in the spectacular wilderness of the Cairngorms,

Rona moved to London and studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths College. Following a Masters Degree in Computers in Design at Middlesex University she created interactive media for museums and the entertainment industry. After a spell in Brighton and Glasgow she settled in Edinburgh and rekindled her passion for drawing with traditional media.

'Rona Innes Art’ officially started out

as a business just over a year ago with a market stall on the Grassmarket. Before this I had trialled selling my art work on stalls on the Royal Mile, mixing handmade and bought in items, trying to figure out product lines and most importantly getting valuable customer feedback. To my surprise, it transpired that my drawings were the best sellers so I was delighted to

focus on that area. I now mainly sell online and through exhibitions and stockists but can still be found doing the odd market stall as I love meeting customers, getting out the studio and the social aspect of market places.

Rona's work is at Twenty Eight until 31stJuly 2015.
