Our Story

"Twenty Eight - The Collective Pop Up" opened in June 2014 as an experimental creative venture and as a shopping experience, by the people, for the people.

In the thriving Indie Retail Community of St Stephen Street, Twenty Eight set out to showcase local Scottish talent to the buying public. The idea was to provide a platform for Scotland's Creatives, from well established brands, to hobbyists, to sell their work without paying any commission.
Our idea is to change Designers on a more regular basis and offer bookings in '2 week slots'. This will allow us to have an ever changing stock base, bring continual interest, and allow shoppers to find something new each time they visit.

'Twenty Eight' ran for an initial 3 month period, throughout June, July & August 2014, and then extended their residency on St Stephen Street until the end of October 2014 due to such high demand.

But we're still moving forward.....

Twenty Eight is changing things up!!

In November we welcomed a few permanent designers to the shop who, alongside our other exhibitors, showcased their designs and started working together to shape your one stop shop for handmade, local pieces.
Our designers are:

Hannah (The Edinburgh Bow Tie Co.)
Stacy (Stacy Graham Design)
Fiona (Fiona Luing Jewellery)

These ladies are working hard in the shop to celebrate Scotland's Creatives and continue the Twenty Eight shopping experience into 2015.

If you would like to get involved in this venture, please email us on info@twentyeightedinburgh.co.uk for more information.
