"My work is inspired by all things organic, mainly flowers. A lot of my time at college was spent drawing in the Royal Botanic Gardens. The jewellery I make is very delicate and feminine and lace features a lot. Colour also plays a big part whether is be through enamel or coloured gem stones."

Heather studied Jewellery & Silversmithing at Edinburgh College of Art and graduated in 2003. After graduating she set up her workshop in Uphall, the village she grew up in, and had my work in galleries and shops throughout the UK.

In 2007 she took a break from making and pursued a different career but after having her 2nd child in 2013 she rediscovered her love of designing and making and has busy ever since.

"I have 2 children children, Florence who is 4 and Arthur who is 2 so juggle my time between looking after them and working in my workshop."

"Its early days for Heather Elder Jewellery but I am excited for what the future holds."
